The Wild Rockies Racing Series is back for a 5th year at Jug Mountain Ranch this Saturday and Sunday, June 22nd & 23rd! Jug Mountain Ranch offers the premiere single-track course in Central Idaho, where racers will compete to qualify for the National Championships later this year. Racers will ride a 13.5-mile loop, starting and finishing at the Clubhouse, that includes both single-track and double-track sections as well as some gnarly short climbs and descents.

THE SCHEDULE:

Saturday, June 22nd – XC Mountain Bike Race, 11am

The first riders should start to cross the finish line at 2pm with the award ceremony taking place at 3:30pm outside of the Clubhouse. Food and beverage will also be available at a discount at the Clubhouse Restaurant. Spectators welcome!

Racers participating in Sunday’s ENDURO race will be able to ride practice loops starting at 4pm on Saturday

The trail running event will be held on Sunday, June 23rd and start at 9am from the Clubhouse. Awards will be given at 11:30am.

Sunday Afternoon, ENDURO mountain bike riders tackle a loop about 2.5 mi. starting from the top of the mountain and finishing at the Clubhuse. Awards are planned for 4pm!

Saturday, May 25th will mark the official start of the 2013 Jug Mountain Ranch golf season! While our driving range has been open since May 15th, the golf course, practice greens, and golf course will all open on the 25th. New to Jug Mountain Ranch this year is online tee time booking. Create a user profile and easily login to book tee times, change tee times, or cancel a tee time if plans change!

This year our greens are looking better than ever – not one green needed anything but Mother Nature’s sunshine! We hope you will join us this season on the links to enjoy the beautiful course!

The Wild Rockies Race Series is back at Jug this Saturday, June 23rd for the XC and Super D Mountain Biking and Trail Running Races. This race is one of the few races in Idaho that qualify for entry into the National Championships held in Sun Valley, ID.

The mountain bike cross-country is using a 12-mile loop that starts and finishes at the Jug Mountain Ranch Clubhouse, and has some great singletrack and two-track sections, as well as some gnarly, short climbs and descents.

The Saturday race starts 12:30. The XC bike race to follow the 9am (12mi.- 1 lap) trail running event.

Stick around on Sunday and compete or just be a spectator and take in a round of golf. Super D riders tackle a similiar course as we had last year about 2.5 mi. long! There will be a run up and a short, grunt climb at the end. YOU MAY REGISTER ON-SITE FOR ANY OF THESE EVENTS, STARTING AT 8AM!

Accommodations are a short drive away at Hotel McCall and amenities at the clubhouse include a full bar and 18-hole golf course. See you at Jug this weekend!

Jug Mountain Ranch is excited to open our Clubhouse Restaurant and Driving Range Saturday May 26th, Sunday May 27th, and Monday May 28th of Memorial Day weekend. Jug also has new mountain bike trails open! As our crew continues to work diligently overseeding some of the winter-damaged areas of the course, we are putting ourselves in the hands of Mother Nature. With many sunny days in the forecast next week we are hopeful to meet our target open date of June 2nd.

On Saturday and Sunday we will be serving brunch…we recommend the stellar French Toast made with fresh-baked apricot-cranberry bread topped with a delicious mascarpone whipped cream and toasted almonds. With winter quickly shedding her hold on the McCall valley, Jug Mountain Ranch is gearing up for another amazing season of golf! Our grounds crew has been hard at work making sure the course will be in great playing condition for our season open tentatively set for Memorial Day weekend. While not every inch of turf is perfect, we couldn’t be happier with how beautifully the course came out of winter. Here is a view of the green on #7 taken April 23rd. Green greens! On August 13th, join us for a Mountain Bikefest weekend! Wild Rockies and Jug Mountain Ranch will be bringing a Short Track XC and kids ride to McCall along with a whole line-up of fun events to make this a weekend event not to miss!

Racing starts with the Short Track XC at 11am and wraps up with the kids STXC at 1:30pm. For the little ones not racing, a special Kids Camp will be offered starting at 10:30am to free up mom and dad for a few hours. Bring everyone back together for lunch after the racing with a special menu on the Jug Mountain Ranch Clubhouse patio.

KIDS CAMP: The Children’s House in McCall is excited to offer a two hour Kids Camp on race day. The camp will begin at 10:30am and end at 12:30pm. We have a fun nature walk planned where kids will be able to burn off some of that energy and also see some of the racing action! Pre-Registration is required. To pre-register kids for the Kids Camp please email jmr@jugmountainranch.com. Cost is $10 per child and kids potty trained to 10 years of age are welcome! SUNDAY DRIVE RIDE: On Sunday, CIMBA has organized a fun group ride to Goose Creek Falls. This is a beautiful ride on newly improved trails. Shuttle service to the trailhead will be offered starting at 10:0am Sunday morning from the Goose Creek Falls campground!
